Care Instructions

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver naturally tarnishes when exposed to air, the environment, perspiration, as well as certain perfumes and lotions. To prevent tarnishing, store your silver pieces in a cool, dry place, using acid-free tissue paper or a protective box or pouch. If tarnishing occurs, you can easily restore the shine by using a specialist silver polishing cloth, liquid polish, or paste. For a simple at-home cleaning method, use a very soft toothbrush with warm, soapy water. After cleaning, dry your jewellery with a soft cloth. To maintain the shine, regularly clean your fine jewellery with a jewellery cloth.

Gold Vermeil

Remove jewellery before sleeping, washing, doing sports, or manual labor. Avoid contact with household chemicals, perfumes, and hairsprays, as these can damage the plating. When not in use, store your jewellery in a safe place, ideally in its box or pouch, and separate from other items to avoid scratches or damage. Gold plating is not permanent. Since it’s not solid gold, it will naturally tarnish and fade over time, but proper care will extend its lifespan. After each use, gently rub the surface with a very soft cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using polishing cloths, as they can strip away the plating. For a deeper clean, soak the jewellery in warm, soapy water for a few minutes, then gently clean with a soft cloth. Do not use jewellery cleaners or antibacterial soaps, as they may cause the gold plating to tarnish faster. Store jewellery in a cool, dry place in a box or pouch. Keep different metals, such as gold and rose gold, stored separately to prevent tarnishing or color changes.
